Alpha Terpineol has a soft floral-woody odour reminiscent of lilac, with a mild fresh undertone. It is one of the common aroma chemicals used to build floral and woody accords in perfume compositions and attars.
Weigh out small quantities and blend with other aroma chemicals or essential oils to build an accord, then dilute in a carrier such as DPG or alcohol for perfumes, or add directly during the oil phase for soaps and cosmetics. Test the blend on paper strips or in a small batch before scaling up.
