Bergamot FCF has a bright, citrus character with a light, slightly sweet-sour edge typical of bergamot peel oil, without the furanocoumarin fraction present in the whole oil. It reads fresh and clean, often used as a top note that fades faster than the non-FCF version.
It is used in spray perfumes, attars, soap, candles and cosmetic formulations where a citrus top note is wanted without the photosensitising compounds of regular bergamot oil.
Blend into the top note of a perfume or attar composition, or add directly to soap and cosmetic bases at the formulation stage. Dilute in a carrier oil or alcohol base before use, depending on application.
