Cedramber has a dry, woody-amber character with a cedar-like undertone, and it is valued for the way it carries and extends amber and woody accords in a composition. It tends to sit in the base to heart of a blend, adding depth without becoming sharp or sweet.
It is used by perfumers and attar makers to build woody and amber bases, and it also finds use in soap and cosmetic fragrances where a dry, lasting woody note is wanted.
Blend into alcohol-based perfumes or oil attar bases at the base-note stage, dissolving fully before adding other materials. It can be combined with other woody or amber aroma chemicals to round out a composition.
