Citronella Java has a bright, lemony, grassy odour with a slightly woody undertone, typical of oils distilled from citronella grass. It is used as a raw material in soap, candle and household product formulation, and as a note in fragrance blends where a fresh, green-citrus character is wanted.
Blend into soap bases, candle wax or fragrance compounds at a proportion suited to the intended strength, or dilute in a carrier oil or alcohol before mixing. Stir or mix well to distribute evenly through the base material.
