Fixolide carries a clean, musky scent with a soft, slightly sweet undertone. It is stable and blends well with other musks and base materials, giving body to a composition without dominating lighter top notes.
It is used in attar and perfume compounding, soap, detergent and cosmetic fragrances where a steady musk background is needed. It is commonly combined with other synthetic or natural musks to build depth in the base of a blend.
Dissolve in alcohol or carrier oil before blending into attars or perfumes, or mix directly into soap, detergent or cosmetic bases during formulation. Add gradually and check the blend as it develops, since musk notes build over time.
