Galaxolide Pure carries a clean, white musk character with a soft, slightly sweet and powdery undertone. It sits quietly in a blend, adding smoothness and a lasting musky base rather than standing out on its own.
It is used in perfume oils, spray perfumes, soaps, detergents and fabric softeners, where a stable musk background is wanted. It is also used in attar bases and cosmetic formulations as a fixative-type musk note.
Blend Galaxolide Pure into the base stage of a perfume or soap formulation, as it dissolves readily in other aroma chemicals and carrier oils. Adjust the amount gradually while smelling the mix, since small quantities carry a noticeable musk effect.
