Linalool has a soft, floral odour with woody and faintly citrus undertones. It is one of the common building blocks used in perfumery to add a fresh, slightly sweet floral note to a blend.
Used in small proportions within a fragrance or attar base, it is blended with other aroma chemicals or essential oils and dissolved in a suitable solvent before use.
